Baptism

youth pastor baptizes teen girl

We celebrate baptisms because life-change happens when we encounter Jesus!

Baptism is going public about the transformation that has taken place in your life because of Jesus. This should be one of the first steps you take after salvation.

Is baptism your Next Step? We’d love to hear from you!

Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Baptism FAQs

Baptism is the next step after salvation. It’s a public declaration of your faith – a moment for you to tell the world that Jesus has come into your life. Baptism doesn’t save a person, it’s simply a symbol of the transformation that has taken place in your life. (1 Peter 3:21)

All the examples of baptism that we see in the Bible were done by being fully immersed in the water. Jesus Himself was baptized by immersion. We baptize in this way to follow the example Jesus set for us. Baptism by immersion symbolizes being buried with Christ, and being brought out of the water is a symbol of being raised to new life with Christ. (Romans 6:4)

If you have decided to follow Jesus, baptism is your Next Step. Anyone who commits his or her life to following Jesus is ready to be baptized (Acts 8:12).

If you haven’t been baptized since you decided to truly follow Jesus, we want to help you take your Next Step of being baptized. Once you have taken that step, there’s no need to be baptized again.

We will baptize anyone who has made a personal profession of faith in Jesus Christ. As a general rule, we do not baptize anyone under the age of 18 without discussing it with their parent(s)/guardian(s).
