Missions & Outreach

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns!

The Verse Behind the Name

Isaiah 52:7 is the inspiration behind the name of our missions and outreach ministry, which we call Beautiful Feet. God has given us, as His people, the opportunity to be His hands and feet in making His name famous in our community, our nation, and our world. Our priority in every Beautiful Feet initiative is to build meaningful relationships and share the Gospel with those we serve!

Local Outreach

A major part of our mission as a church is to serve our local community. We have several ongoing initiatives that serve those in our area as well as some annual projects that we take on to reach even more people in our local context.

Ongoing Initiatives

On the second Wednesday of each month at 5:00pm to 6:30pm, we open up our Care Center to the community. We currently offer a clothing closet and food pantry that is restocked monthly for all those in need. Volunteers are also invited to sort clothes on Thursdays from 4:30pm – 6:30pm.

Serve

We are now offering free clothes to our guests who visit our campus during our Second Saturday Mobile Food Pantry. This is just another way to love our neighbors well.

Serve

Man Up is an extension of Engaged. These are men who are willing to “man up” when the need arises throughout the year to serve our community. Projects may involve yard work, disaster relief, helping families in need, etc.

Serve

We have partnered with Golden Harvest Food Bank to provide food to those in need in Columbia County on a monthly basis. Golden Harvest drops off food items and we step in to distribute that food as we open up our campus to be a distribution center, as well as providing delivery of food boxes to people lacking transportation. This gives us an opportunity to serve our community through distributing food, building relationships, and ultimately sharing Christ’s love with others. Food distribution happens on the second Saturday of every month from 9am -10:30am.

Serve

We pick up clothes every other Thursday / Friday between 2pm-5pm and drop off at our storage unit. Clothes are used for our Clothing Closet at the Evans campus and at our Sherwood Care Center.

Every year around Christmas, we have the opportunity to brighten the holiday season for families who may need a little more help. Through Angel Tree, we are able to bless neighbors, families, and friends with Christmas gifts. We throw a big party where we distribute the gifts to the families we serve as we celebrate Christmas together.

Missions Opportunities

Ongoing Mission Partnerships

Each year several adult and student trips are taken to serve other communities both domestically and internationally. Our goals on all mission trips are to develop partnerships that help foster real relationships and to share the Gospel with the people we are serving.

child sponsorship in haiti

We sponsor more than 100 children in the Haitian village of Trouforban with Disciples Village. A $40 monthly sponsorship provides a child with food and an education.

jacksons webBefore their one-year wedding anniversary Jackson and Hannah decided to pack up their lives and move to Kenya in May 2019. After many short-term trips, Jackson and Hannah could no longer ignore the commands of Jesus to go and make disciples. The need for biblically sound churches is great in Northern Kenya and that is why Jackson and Hannah have gone to work and live amongst an unreached people group. They are working in Northern Kenya and spend most of their time doing ministry out in the African bush. They focus primarily on teaching God’s Word using the chronological Bible teaching method. This method teaches the Bible in its entirety to build a foundation for the Gospel to take root. Currently Jackson and Hannah are leading a men’s and women’s fellowship each week where they are continuing to disciple, teach, and shepherd the flock that God has entrusted to them. Their goal is to see that God is glorified through the preaching of His Word and that people come to faith in Christ Jesus. They long to raise up indigenous leaders to go out and share the gospel and make disciples within the unreached tribes of Kenya.

boerdingTom & Patti are currently serving in Southern Europe by focusing on Business-as-Missions (BAM). They originally left their secular jobs when God got a hold of their hearts after being involved in several short-term mission trips. They were seeing missionaries who were trying to run businesses, but were struggling with projects/programs they themselves had experience in through their 20+ years in the business world. They chose to walk away from their prime income-generating years to instead invest in the Kingdom by partnering with missionary businesses to help them run more efficiently and be more effective in their mission. They also hope to show others who don’t see themselves as typical “missionaries” how their God-given talents and secular experiences can be used to reach the lost.
