Pastor Bobby's NINE/30 Prayer

As the NINE/30 began this year, I was really praying about what God wanted me to be seeking. Should I be praying about buildings? About future campuses? About staffing needs? And I really feel like God spoke to me and narrowed my focus, asking me to seek these 3 things!
His Face
This is His presence first and foremost. The Hebrew word translated "face" is the exact same word translated as "Presence" when referring to God's presence.
A person's face reveals so much about them, and that's what God wants – for us to seek and see His heart, His character, His grace. Looking on the face of God transforms us into His image. We become like the things we focus on! There are things we can learn and know only by being in His presence.

My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, Lord, I will seek. Psalm 27:8
Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. Psalm 105:4
Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually.  1 Chronicles 16:11

His Feet
He wants my complete surrender. Falling at His feet is an act of surrender and submission. We give honor to the King of kings as we prostrate ourselves before Him. We show humility, and it can also be a sign of repentance. As one lies down before the king, that person is accepting his authority and power. That is why prostrate became the word often used for worship. To fall down before God is an act of worship of the Creator by the creature.

Prostrate yourself to God. Revelation 22:9
And he fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. Luke 17:16
And the eleven disciples went into Galilee into the mountain where Jesus ordained for them. And seeing him, they prostrated themselves to him. Matthew 28:16-17

His Hands
Hands that give, hands that help, hands that bless, hands that protect, hands that heal; God wants us to ask for His continued favor. He tells us just to ask. We serve a God whose hands are never tied!

When You open your hand, You satisfy the hunger and thirst of every living thing. Psalm 145:16
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with My victorious right hand. Isaiah 41:10
Lord, the God of our ancestors, are You not the God who is in heaven?  You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations.  Power and might are in Your hand, and no one can withstand You. 2 Chronicles 20:6
