Groups – Sherwood

Life is better together.

One of our core values here at Journey is that we encourage one another to take Next Steps. One of the most important Next Steps you can take is to join a group! Doing life together is not only beneficial for you, but for others as well.

We offer three types of groups: Care, Connect, and Community.

Care Groups are offered to people going through specific seasons of life. (CancerCare, DivorceCare, GriefShare).

Connect Groups, formerly called Access Groups, are short-term groups, classes, and studies that connect us to people and to God’s Word.

Community Groups, formerly called J-Groups, are “small groups” for people who want to do life together long-term. To best connect you to a Connect Group at Journey, simply click here to fill out a quick form. Our team will follow up soon!

Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.

The book of Nehemiah tells the story of God’s power to restore his people. As Israel returned from exile to the Promised Land, they found the walls of Jerusalem in shambles. So God equipped Nehemiah to rebuild the wall and lead the discouraged Israelites. In this 10-session series, Dr. Eric Mason shows us how God renewed his people both physically and spiritually. Through the story of Israel’s plight and God’s faithfulness, we see how God preserved his people to carry out his mission of redemption.

This is a 10-week study on the Book of Job that gives an account of a righteous man who faithfully responded to difficult trials. Job’s experience invites us to ponder difficult questions about the causes of suffering, the frailty of human existence, and the reasons to trust in God, even when life seems unfair.
